Health & Safety

You have an obligation to consider the health and safety of your staff and of any volunteers who may help you. You also have an obligation to consider the safety of those who may visit you or take part in any events which you might organise.

The aim of having Health & Safety procedures in place is to reduce the risk of someone becoming ill or injured as a result of something your organisation has done. This could affect staff, volunteers or a member of the public.

By law you are required to have a written Health & Safety policy if you have 5 or more employees or volunteers. The policy needs to be updated once a year, must be signed by the most senior member of staff and must be made readily accessible to all staff.

In order to ensure you have followed correct procedure, evaluated all risk and have relevant documentation follow the steps outlined below in the CBUK Interactive Service.

You must have already registered with CBUK and have received a log-in. If you have not yet done so please click here to Register with CBUK.
