What is CBUK?

CBUK is an innovative new way of helping you to comply with Employment and Health & Safety legislation, as well as providing you with tools to simplify other key administrative tasks.  This will help you set up essential policies and procedures quickly, easily - and it’s free of charge.

Tennyson Insurance specialise in insuring organisations which support society. We recognise that small and medium sized community groups, charities and social enterprises often find it difficult to comply with Human Resources and Health & Safety legislation - key areas in the successful and safe running of a non profit organisation, and two areas which can be complex and time consuming.

CBUK will help your organisation be:

COMPLIANT, which helps to

  • avoid disgruntled employees and possible employment tribunals
  • compete for funding with larger organisations which may employ HR and H&S experts

EFFICIENT by

  • saving you time
  • giving continuity to your administrative processes

CBUK will also also help you to:

SAVE MONEY

  • CBUK is a free service, there are no hidden costs
  • You may also save money through purchasing a discounted insurance policy provided by Tennyson Insurance

Getting Started

Registering

In order to benefit from the wide range of interactive tools for HR and H&S you must firstly register with CBUK. You will then be supplied with a unique user ID, which allows you unlimited access to these services. These services are supplied by beprofessional.com (a deloitte berwin leighton paisner company). All Charity Builder members have free access to the beprofessional.com services, which are usually charged for by subscription.  Any reference to charges from beprofessional.com does not apply to Charity Builder members.

Register at the online registration form now.  Within 48 hours you’ll be sent your log-in details by beprofessional.com .  Sometimes this process may take a little longer as we have to check all registrations with a voluntary sector support group in your area (sometimes called a CVS) to validate that your group is non profit making.

If you are not already a member of a local support group which can verify that you are non profit making, we will forward your details to your nearest group for checking.  They may wish to contact you to discuss becoming a member of their organisation.  Membership is usually free and brings a full range of additional services.  If  there is a reason that you do not wish to become a member of a local support group but would like to access Charity Builder please email Charity Builder at enquiry@charitybuilderuk.com

For more information about your local support group or CVS please visit the More Help section or click on the link below and search by postcode to find your nearest one.

Tennyson Insurance hopes that CBUK will be a valuable tool for all community groups, charities and social enterprises. We would like the service to develop according to how members wish to use it. We therefore welcome all feedback about the site, from how you find using it (design and content) to other areas you would like more information about.
